Zapier Integration with Kiteform
Easily automate tasks between Kiteform and other apps using Zapier, which connects Kiteform to thousands of other applications like Google Sheets, Slack, Mailchimp, and more. With Zapier, you can create "Zaps" that automatically take actions when a form submission is received, saving you time and manual work.
How Does the Integration Work?
Zapier allows you to set up automated workflows, known as "Zaps," between Kiteform and your favorite apps. A Zap consists of a trigger (e.g., a new Kiteform submission) and one or more actions (e.g., sending data to Google Sheets).
What You'll Need
- A Kiteform account with published forms.
- A Zapier account (free and paid plans available).
- Access to apps you want to connect with Kiteform.
Connecting Kiteform to Zapier
Sign in to Zapier: Log in to your Zapier account. If you don’t have an account, you can create one for free.
Create a New Zap: Click on "Create Zap" to start a new Zap.
Set Kiteform as the Trigger App:
- In the Trigger section, search for "Kiteform" and select it.
- Choose "New Form Submission" as the trigger event.
Connect Your Kiteform Account:
- Click "Connect a New Account" and authorize Zapier to access your Kiteform account.
- Log in with your Kiteform credentials and allow Zapier to connect. This action will ask you to put your API_KEY which you can find in settings in your kiteform account.
Select Your Form:
- Choose the Kiteform form you want to use as the trigger. This is the form that will activate the Zap whenever a new submission is received.
Test the Trigger:
- Zapier will fetch recent submissions to test the connection. This ensures that your form data is correctly received by Zapier.
Setting Up Actions in Zapier
Choose Your Action App:
- Select the app you want to connect to Kiteform. For example, Google Sheets, Slack, Mailchimp, etc.
Configure the Action:
- Choose the specific action you want the app to perform, such as creating a new row in a spreadsheet or sending an email.
Map Kiteform Data to Action Fields:
- Map the data from your Kiteform submission to the fields in the action app. This ensures the correct information is passed between the two services.
Test the Zap:
- Zapier will run a test to ensure the action works correctly using the data from your Kiteform form submission.
Turn On Your Zap:
- Once everything is tested and working as expected, turn on your Zap. Your integration is now live!
Managing Your Zapier Integration
- You can manage, edit, or turn off your Zaps anytime from your Zapier dashboard.
- If you need to change the form or update your trigger settings, revisit your Zap configuration to make adjustments.
Common Use Cases
- Google Sheets: Automatically send form submissions to a Google Sheet.
- Slack: Get instant notifications in Slack when a new form is submitted.
- Mailchimp: Add new form respondents to a Mailchimp mailing list automatically.
- Trello: Create a Trello card when a form is filled out.
Troubleshooting Tips
- Ensure that your Kiteform account is properly connected to Zapier.
- Check that your form has recent submissions to test with.
- Verify the data mapping between Kiteform and your action app to ensure information is passed correctly.
