Keyboard shortcuts

Kiteform lets you create forms as easily as writing a text document. Simply start typing and insert blocks without needing to reach for your mouse. With our handy shortcuts, you can build forms even faster and more efficiently.

Slash Commands

Typing / in Kiteform displays a choice of accessible form blocks, which you can then place right into your form. You may further refine your search by entering certain terms, such as /number to rapidly add a number input block. The following is a list of all possible slash commands.

Input Blocks

• /short for a short answer
• /long for a long answer
• /drop for a dropdown
• /multi-select for a multi-select
• /multiple for multiple choice
• /check for a checkbox
• /number for a number input
• /email for an email input
• /phone for a phone number input
• /link for a URL input
• /date for a date picker
• /time for a time picker
• /rating for a rating block
• /opinion for a opinion scale

Layout Blocks

• /heading 1 for a large heading
• /heading 2 for a medium-sized heading

Embed Blocks

• /image to insert an image
• /embed to embed anything

Advanced Blocks

• /logic to add conditional logic
• /calc to insert a calculated field
• /hidden to include a hidden field
• /captcha to add a reCAPTCHA block

Create & Style Your Content

• Press Enter to insert a line of text.
• Press Shift + Enter to create a line break within a block of text.
• Select text and press Cmd/Ctrl + B to bold text.
• Select text and press Cmd/Ctrl + I to italicize text.

@ Mentions

Type @ to open a list of answers that can be mentioned in your form.
