Hidden Fields

Hidden fields in Kiteform allow you to include data you already have in your form URL and pass it onto your form. This feature helps you personalize your respondents’ form experience and provides better insights into your results.

What is a Hidden Field?

A hidden field lets you track respondents and use already collected data to personalize your forms. It’s invisible to anyone filling out a form but enables you to gather and use data effectively.

Examples of Hidden Fields:

  • Track Traffic Source: Identify if the respondent came from social media, website triggers, or other sources.
  • Pass Information: Include respondent details like name or email address in your form responses.
  • Prefill Input Fields: Automatically fill in certain fields on your form with known data.
  • Answer Piping: Mention information in your form using the respondent’s data.
  • Transfer Information Between Forms: Pass data from one form to another.
  • Track Marketing Campaigns: Use UTM parameters to monitor campaign performance.
